We will soon be enjoying our family summer visit, made extra special this year by the arrival on New Year’s Eve of new member and first grandchild baby Wynn. There are certain things that they always want to do…
- Walk from Hunmanby Gap into Filey. Have a drink in the White Lodge beer garden then a fish butty from Inghams and walk back again with an ice cream.
- Go to Monsoon OR have a takeaway from Monsoon – the only restaurant we have always visited throughout our time here at Dale Farm due to its consistency, welcoming hospitality and excellent food (plus cheap prices.)
- Brave a swim (very weather dependant this one.)
- Play pool and drink beer in our little bar then maybe a BBQ.
- Just enjoy being here, do what we want when we want, pick vegetables, make food, enjoy the garden and the birdsong, play with the dog(s). It’s the ordinary stuff that is wonderful and a miracle.
I spent a lot of time putting together the ‘Activities’ page on the website but really the above is as good a blueprint as any for a summer visit to Dale Farm. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do (sorry we don’t have a public license but you can still drink beer!)
