We will soon be celebrating our 8th summer at Dale Farm. It has been a hard slog and a very steep learning curve but it has been interesting and fun and rewarding. Last year I retired from my job as a Charity Manager and Paul will soon complete his final project (the Grain Store.) I could say nothing has gone to plan but there wasn’t really a plan. We saw the place, loved it, bought it and got on with it.
Now we have a plan. To enjoy being here, spend more time with family and friends, not work so hard; kick back as they say. We know what we are doing now and all is well with the world.
Then a chicken in a busy food market in Wuhan, China got infected with a Coronavirus possibly by a bat and anarchy was loosed upon the world. Yes we have avoided flood, plague and pestilence and yes it will pass but really? That’ll teach us to have a plan.
Anyhow the sun has been shining for a fortnight here, we have no known cases of Coronavirus and as you can see below we are pretty isolated. Also, you won’t be quarantined in your cabin or have your flight cancelled…so if you decide to book a staycation…you couldn’t make a better choice than Dale Farm.
